Command & Conquer Generals 2 Goes Free-To-Play

BioWare Victory's Command & Conquer Generals 2 is going free to play with the impressive Frostbite 2 engine in tow.

The strategy game, published by EA, comes out sometime in 2013, and applications for the closed beta are being taken at the game's website.

EA says that this title is the first of "many free offerings within the storied franchise..."
