MLG League of Legends Online Arena Qualifier Results

Update: The North American Qualifiers finished last night with Curse Gaming claiming its place in the MLG League of Legends Summer Arena. The full roster of teams that will be participating in the event has been revealed.

Curse Gaming - Won the North American Qualifier, beating out Orbit Gaming to secure a spot in the Summer Arena. 

Team Black - A relatively new team, Team Black came out of nowhere to destroy their way through the European Qualifier. They defeated Curse EU in the finals.

Team Azubu Blaze - A Korean team that regularly does well on the world stage, they accepted the invitation to compete in the Summer Arena. This will mark the first time a Korean League of Legends team has participated in a North American tournament.

Team SoloMid - A regular league of legends themselves, Team SoloMid regularly dominates their competition. Some of their tournament wins include the MLG Spring Championship, MLG Providence 2011, IPL 4, the Gigabyte eSports LAN, the Reign of Gaming International Invitational, and the Leaguecraft ggClassic.

The contest for a spot in the Summer League of Legends Arena is fierce and it is down to the finals! 

The North American Qualifier Final between teams Orbit Gaming and Curse Gaming will be broadcast tonight at 7pm EST on Twitch, Own3d, and MLG.tv. The winning team will receive an all-expenses paid trip New York City to compete for the $10,000 first place prize. The Qualifier will be cast by MonteCristo and Optimus Tom.

The MLG Summer League of Legends Arena runs August 3-5 and MLG says that every match will be broadcast and should total over 20 hours of League of Legends content. Four teams will be competing against each other in the event: the winner of the North American qualifier, the winner of the European qualifier, and two specially invited teams.
