Remember The Metro: Last Light Trailer? See How It Was Made

by Jeff Cork on Jun 21, 2012 at 04:13 AM

THQ and 4A games released a live-action trailer last month for the upcoming Metro: Last Light. It didn't feature any gameplay footage, but it did an excellent job at establishing the game's grim tone. Now the two companies want to show you how the trailer was made, in a new behind-the-scenes making-of video.

Try not to be too bummed out by the fact that we're now twice removed from seeing Last Light in action. The trailer was one of the more successful examples of using actors and a video game's themes to tell a story. As history has shown us, that can be dangerous territory.

If you missed the trailer, be sure to check it out before seeing how it was made.

As interesting as this all may be, keep in mind that there's an actual game behind it all. Better yet, it's looking pretty darned good. It's due out in 2013 on the PlayStation 3, PC, and Xbox 360.
