New Game Studio Powered By 30-Year Veteran
Tony Takoushi has made a living in the video game industry for over 30 years. "I started in publishing with the Pan Best Software guides in 1981," he recalled. "I then moved on to magazines like CVG, PCG with Chris Anderson (who went on to set up Imagine network), then did my own coding from my bedroom in 1985 doing a Commodore C16, Commodore C64, Atari 400/800 game called Hyperforce." His last stint was at Halfbrick Studios, the famed mobile developer behind Fruit Ninja and Jetpack Joyride. Tony is now launching his own game studio, Total ArKade Software (or TAKS as in Takoushi). The company's first game (an unannounced project for PC and mobile devices) is nearing completion.
"I want to give players something new and fresh to play, with a lot of exciting content and gameplay," Tony said. "Unique characters and great are were a key focus for the game universe. This is a great time to be setting up an indie development team with so many opportunities to innovate and create quality titles in the mobile space."
