Weekend Warrior 04/06/12

by Ben Reeves on Apr 06, 2012 at 02:00 PM

It’s a holiday weekend, so that mean’s we get to play more games that usual. We might also do some baseball watching and egg hunting. What about you?

Andrew Reiner: I'm watching baseball all weekend down. Between games I'll be catching up on Eastbound and Down.

Ben Hanson: This weekend will be devoted to Xenoblade, the cool kids don’t even bother adding the “Chronicles” bit on the end. I’m about 15 hours in and it is slowly transitioning from good to great, there’s no doubt that people will look back at this game as an overlooked JRPG classic. Other than that I’ll probably continue playing Hero Academy, Tetris, and Triple Town on my iPhone.

Jeff Marchiafava: Now that I’m done with Mass Effect 3 and I’ve played through Journey, I don’t know what I’m going to play next. Perhaps it’s finally time to go back to Skyrim, which should be more than enough to tide me over until The Witcher 2 comes out. Or maybe I’ll change things up and head back to Arkham City.

Jeff Cork: I’m playing a game for review over the next few days, so it’s a working weekend for me. Fortunately, this mysterious title is a lot of fun, so you won’t hear any complaints from me.

Dan Ryckert: PAX East!

Tim Turi: I’ve finally finished Mass Effect 3, so now I’ll be turning my eyes back to Skyrim. I had to put the awesome RPG aside due to the avalanche of awesome games that piled up over the holidays. I’m looking forward to diving back into my thieving mage. I’m also entranced with the Game Boy game Kid Dracula. The cutesy take on the Castlevania series is just what I needed.

Kyle Hilliard: I am going to beat Mass Effect 3. I was out of town last week and didn’t touch it at all, and only played for about 10 minutes this week, but this weekend? It’s happening. It’s really happening. Unless I decide to play Journey first. Or maybe just take a really long nap. I might beat Mass Effect 3 this weekend. We’ll see.

Andy McNamara: Have some biking planned, a couple dinner dates, and a lot of sitting around on the agenda. I checked out a copy of Xenoblade Chronicles from the vault so I plan on getting in some serious time (I know I said that last week, but I ended up finishing Mutant Blobs Attack instead). Plus, I might run a 10k race in Saint Paul on Saturday if the weather isn't too bad.
