Onimusha Returns...As A Browser Game

by Matthew Kato on Mar 12, 2012 at 04:32 AM

We miss the Japanese feudal action of Capcom's Onimusha series, and we're going to miss it even more now that the company has announced Onimusha Soul for PC browsers and smartphones.

The game casts players as daimyo (a feudal lord) in Japan's warring states period, and the RPG allows co-op as well as competitive play with Capcom's Unity 3 engine.

Onimusha Soul appears on June 28 in Japan for PC and this fall for smartphones. Although there's nothing stopping U.S. fans from hitting the site when the game comes out, knowing Japanese will separate the competent players from the clueless.
