New Skylanders Toys Heading To Retail
Collectors and parents tasked with buying their children loot, now's the time to frequent retail stores to see if the new Skylanders figures have been stocked. Activision sent along a package containing the new series of toys for review, and they should be hitting store shelves now, if they haven't already.
The new wave consists of Sunburn, a powerful bird whose mouth doubles as a flamethrower; Zook, a happy-go-lucky rocket launcher fan; and Lightning Rod, a character that looks like he's friends with Genie from Aladdin. As far as I know, Sunburn is currently only available in an adventure pack consisting of new items winged boots and Sparx (of Spyro fame) and a new level called Dragon's Peak that allows players to fly as an elder dragon.
If you're keeping tabs on this game, more figures will be on the way in the future. Both Camo and Warnado are still unreleased. I wouldn't be surprised if they hit in the summer, followed by the new Giants game in the fall.
