Whole Foods will begin testing Kinect-powered shopping carts that makes buying groceries way more fun.

As reported by Geek Wire, Microsoft today showed an early prototype of the cart that includes a mounted Kinect camera and monitor. Kinect recognizes what items you place in cart, automatically checks items off your list, and even follows you around the store.

The prototype is only a few weeks old, but Microsoft hopes to have any issues resolved before they're out in the wild.
