Asura's Wrath DLC Introduces Anime Art Style & Ryu

by Tim Turi on Feb 21, 2012 at 07:20 AM

Asura’s Wrath just released today, so you’ll be forgiven if you haven’t gotten around to completing Capcom’s over-the-top action game yet. That doesn’t mean can’t get excited for some story-expanding DLC and a visit from a legendary Street Fighter.

Capcom announced today that some of the DLC will feature episodes that fill gaps between the game’s chapters. Unlike the rest of the game, the new content will be presented in a vibrant new anime art style. Check out the screenshots in the gallery below to behold the artful action, crafted by Studio 4C, the animators responsible for Catherine.

The other DLC offering is a zany crossover between Street Fighter’s Ryu and Asura himself. Capcom is billing the fight as a clash between the strongest and the angriest, and one that fans will love. From the looks of it, the two will be battling within the fighting framework of the Street Fighter IV engine, which sounds awesome.

No word on price or release date yet, but we’ll make it up to you with an Asura’s Wrath launch trailer, found below.
