Battlefield 3 Patch Fixes PS3 VOIP Issues

by Jeff Marchiafava on Feb 09, 2012 at 06:08 AM

PS3 gamers have had problems with Battlefield 3's VOIP implementation since launch, but reinforcements are finally here, as EA has announced a fix is now live. Here's how to get your headset working.

While the update will automatically download the next time you start the game, some users may have to jump through a few extra hoops to get their headset running. The Battlefield Blog states that gamers using SLEH-00075 Bluetooth headsets will have to connect the headset to the PS3 via a USB cable before using it. They must also enable HQ mode for it, by going to Settings>Accessory Settings>Manage Bluetooth Devices, then pressing the triangle button on headset>Information>High Quality Mode. If that doesn't work, the company suggests going into Accessory Settings>Manage Bluetooth Devices and deleting all headsets that show up, then repeating the process.

If you're still experiencing problems, EA invites you to report them on the official blog.
