EA Adding Social Functions To FIFA Street

All you have to do is make yet another account on yet another digital retail service and you can share videos with all of your friends who have done the same.

Not only can you share the videos you take of the awesome (or terrifically stupid) things that you pull off in-game, but you can track your friends' progress through the online World Tour mode.

In order to access the new sharing and tracking features EA is adding to FIFA Street, you'll have to make an account on EA's Origin service, which serves social functions like these as well as acting as a digital storefront for EA titles and a few from other publishers.

FIFA Street launches on March 13 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. EA is attempting to reboot the failed FIFA Street brand, which saw three tepidly received games from 2005 to 2008. On the plus side, the mainline FIFA franchise has dramatically improved its core soccer gameplay over the last few years, so maybe FIFA Street has a better shot this time.
