Bioware Hasn't Forgotten About Mac Users And Star Wars: The Old Republic

by Kyle Hilliard on Jan 02, 2012 at 06:07 AM

It doesn't look like Mac users can expect a port anytime soon, but it is on the minds of the decision makers over at Bioware.

Joystiq.com spoke with Bioware label leads Ray Muzyka and Greg Zeschuk and they are well aware of the demand saying, "We know there's a big Mac audience of BioWare fans ... we know that's an important and large audience. And we want to serve that audience."

They were pretty clear in saying that it is not something gamers should expect soon commenting that Bioware's current priority is to complete a successful launch of the game first. In regard to the game appearing on the Mac platform, "that's definitely one of the things we're looking at next. We want to get this launch under our belt and everything stabilized and happy, and then we'll look at other platforms, and that's obviously one of the first ones," Zeschuck said.

For now, if you're on a Mac and you want to play Star Wars: The Old Republic, you'll have to play around with Windows partitions.
