The website videogamewriters.com is reporting possible Xbox Live and Paypal hacking.

It could just be one man's poor luck, but videogamewriters.com is offering a story of one man with over $200 charged to his Xbox Live account through Paypal. One tale of hacking normally wouldn't be a concern, but according to the story, one Paypal representative said they had already received 19 calls this morning from people with similar financial woes.

Tens of thousands of new people probably signed up for Xbox Live yesterday, and as such the percentage of people getting hacked has gone up, so this could just be the everyday sort of normal hacking that Paypal and Xbox Live unfortunately has to deal with. Or, it could be the first signs of a hack of a PlayStation Network proportions! But probably not.

In any case, just consider this a friendly holiday reminder to keep an eye on your bank account. If you're anything like me, it's low enough as it is following Christmas shopping and the November game rush.
