SSX Delayed A Few Weeks
EA Sports' revival of the SSX franchise has been pushed back a couple weeks to allow for extra development polish. SSX was originally scheduled to ship in North America on February 14, 2012. It will now ship February 28 in North America and March 2 in the rest of the world.
In an open letter published on EA's website, SSX creative director Todd Batty explained the decision: "Over the course of more than 10 years of making games I have not worked on a single project where our team did not wish, coming down the home stretch, that we could have just a bit more time," he said. "Time to do all the little things that may not be noticeable during the first hour or two playing the game, but are appreciated over the course of days, weeks, months and beyond."
