Report: Only One PSN Account Allowed Per Vita

by Matthew Kato on Dec 05, 2011 at 04:50 AM

It's not unusual to set up multiple accounts on your PS3. Maybe some are there for your friends and family or you have some foreign accounts set up. Unfortunately, there's a report that the Vita handheld can only be synched with one PSN account.

NeoGAF user medhi_san attended a Vita launch event in Osaka, Japan, and an FAQ in the literature for the handheld states that only one PSN account can be registered per Vita. Switching the associated account can only be done through a reset of the system's factory settings. Sony says that the PSP also limits gamers to one account, but it just doesn't require a factory reset to login to a new account. By definition a factory reset wipes all your data and brings you back to nothing.

This would presumably prevent you from sharing saves or other content with friends, as well as setting up foreign accounts to access downloadable games, etc. from other countries.
