Battlefield 4 Mentioned By EA President

During a talk yesterday at the University of Southern California, EA Games President Frank Gibeau reportedly said "There is going to be a Battlefield 4." His comment was picked up on Twitter by attendees.

There was no indication of when the title would be coming. EA traditionally hasn't released main Battlefield titles annually and instead focused on other shooter brands, such as Medal of Honor and Bad Company. EA recently announced Battlefield 3 sold five million copies in its first week on sale.

EA recently began teasing the next Medal of Honor title by packing inserts in copies of Battlefield 3, likely signaling a new game is coming next fall.
