by Jim Reilly on Nov 02, 2011 at 12:35 PM

There were a few bits of news during THQ’s quarterly earnings call this afternoon. Check them out after the jump.

  • The publisher says it has shipped 1.2 million copies of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine globally since its launch in September, beating expectations.
  • Things are looking good for Saints Row 3 at retail. The game has four times the amount of pre-orders during the same period before launch than Saints Row 2.
  • THQ plans to bring 1-2 new, high quality core games and 1-2 sequel titles to market each year.
  • UFC Undisputed 3 will ship on February 14, 2012.
  • Disney Animator is now coming to both uDraw on Wii and Wii U sometime next year.
  • One new core title will be unveiled next month.

THQ certainly looks like it has a brighter future. The publisher is building an impressive list of third-party titles, signing deals with Turtle Rock Studios, Crytek for a new Homefront game, and Tomonobu Itagaki's Valhalla Studios for Devil's Third. THQ also has its internal studios developing Darksiders 2, Warhammer 40,000: Dark Millenium Online, the inSane trilogy and a stable supply of WWE and UFC titles.
