Wii U Getting Re-Unveiled At E3

by Jim Reilly on Oct 28, 2011 at 04:14 AM

Nintendo plans to really show what the Wii U can do at this coming E3 in June.

Speaking during the company's latest financial earnings result, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata said the plan is to avoid the early launch problems that plagued the 3DS when the Wii U launches sometime in the next year.

"We would like to show the final format of the Wii U at the E3 show next year," he said. "As we learned a bitter lesson with the launch of the Nintendo 3DS, we are trying to take every possible measure so that the Wii U will have a successful launch."

Nintendo first unveiled the Wii U at E3 2011, however there was little detail about the console's hardware and the majority of games shown were tech demonstrations.
