Modern Warfare 3 is releasing November 8 on just about every console. The PC version of the game will function a little bit different from the others, though. Dedicated servers for the PC multiplayer will be controlled by hosts, meaning that weapon progression and unlocks will not exist. On public servers, level progression will function normally.

This news comes from an FAQ about the PC version of Modern Warfare 3, which can be found here. Infinity Ward creative strategist Robert Bowling conducted the interview for the FAQ, and followed up on twitter saying, "Public is about progression, private is about control."

What do you think about this news? Were you planning on buying Modern Warfare 3 on PC? Or will you be too caught up in Battlefield 3 to even think about it?
