[Update] Now Includes Trailer! New Layton Title Coming To iOS Devices
Developer Level 5 has announced a new Layton title for iOS devices, but it doesn't appear to feature the professor himself. The game instead stars Professor Layton's son, Alphendi, as he solves murder mysteries.
There is no confirmed release for North American iOS devices, and details are sparse as the official website is in Japanese, but it definitely features the distinctive art style we've come to associate with the series. As Alphendi, you are a member of Scotland Yard and along with your partner, Lucy, you are a member of the top investigation division.
It looks like mysteries are solved by tapping around assorted crime scenes. The game is set to release next year for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. You'll know more about Mystery Room as soon as we do.
