War Of The Worlds Given Release Date

The Xbox Live Arcade title The War of the Worlds has a release date.

The game is due out next week on October 26, according to the developer's Facebook page. PlayStation 3 and PC versions are due out at a later date.

Other Ocean Interactive has crafted a new vision of the original H.G. Wells novel, creating a side-scrolling platformer that runs parallel with the timeline from the 1953 movie adaptation. The game is also narrated by Patrick Stewart as the unidentified protagonist must jump and roll his way to safety.
