Lucky Few Playing Battlefield 3 Beta Today

by Matt Bertz on Sep 27, 2011 at 06:30 AM

Do you qualify for the trial run of one of the most anticipated first-person shooters of the year?

If you purchased the limited edition of Medal of Honor last year and registered the product, you're eligible to jump into the battle on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, or PC. You can also participate if you pre-ordered the PC version of Battlefield 3 on EA's new Origin platform. How you redeem your code depends on your platform. PS3 players should just see the beta appear in the PSN store, Xbox 360 users should receive an email, and PC players who bought it on Steam already have the beta key. To view your key, go to Medal of Honor in your Steam library, and click the "cd key" link, and copy the "Battlefield 3 Open Beta early access" key. Then head to Origin, click the gear icon in the top menu bar, and then select "redeem product code." Simple!

For those of you who didn't subject yourself to the decidedly average Medal of Honor just to receive a BF3 beta invite can join the fun on the 29th, when the beta becomes a free-for-all. Look for our impressions on the beta, which features a 24-player Rush battle on the Operation Metro map that appeared at E3, later today.
