Ninja Theory Has No Plans For Enslaved 2

by Ben Reeves on Sep 22, 2011 at 09:10 AM

Ninja Theory is currently working on the new Devil May Cry prequel for Capcom, but if you had any hopes that the studio was also secretly working on a sequel to last year's post apocalyptic adventure Enslaved, you’d better be patient.

Enslaved received some generally favorable reviews, but the game didn’t sell as well as Namco or Ninja Theory had hoped. "Enslaved should have done better," Ninja Theory co-founder Tameem Antoniades recently told Edge Magazine. "Right now we should have been doing a sequel and perfecting that sequel and doing what franchises do, which is get better over time. [But] because that didn't happen we've not expanded to two teams like we intended to. So we've remained a smaller shop. But now we get another chance with DMC."

According to CVG, Enslaved sold well short of a million copies. Hopefully Ninja Theory’s DMC fairs, better, because we’d love to see Ninja Theory have the freedom to explore more games in the vein of Enslaved.
