Gearbox Says It Will Make Another Traditional Brothers In Arms After Furious 4

by Matt Helgeson on Aug 29, 2011 at 12:48 PM

Gearbox's impressed us with Brothers in Arms: Furious 4 at E3. The game reinvents the previously historically accurate WWII shooter series as a gonzo black comedy in the vein of Tarantino's Inglorious Basterds. However, the studio is not abandoning its traditional Brothers in Arms games, according to Gearbox head Randy Pitchford.

During a presentation at PAX, Pitchford details Gearbox and publisher Ubisoft's plan for Brothers in Arms, saying that the franchise will be able to support different kinds of titles in the future. When asked if the company planned to return to the more respectful, realistic approach of past games, he said, "We're going to do more of that. Absolutely, that is happening."
