Could The Darkness II Lead To More Top Cow Video Games?

by Ben Reeves on Aug 26, 2011 at 02:15 PM

At a recent PAX 2011 panel, some of the key people behind the upcoming The Darkness II hinted that there could be more Top Cow properties turning into games in the near future.

During the Darkness II panel, Digital Extremes developer Sheldon Carter talked about how he was excited that The Darkness II was introducing the Brotherhood, a secret society that has battled the Darkness in the comics for a long time but hasn’t been features in games before. He went on to mention that there were other IP he’d like to see made into games. “There are plenty of things in the Top Cow universe that we could do.”

Later in the panel, Darkness creator and comic book legend Marc Silvestri said, “We have a few other IP that are generating a lot of interest in all kinds of media…and actually we have one other property that is coming down the pipe, which could be a game, that is pretty closely related to the Darkness.”

Could this mean that we’ll soon see a Witchblade game, or do you think these guys were hinting about some other Top Cow properties? As comic fans ourselves, we’re eager to hear more.
