The PlayStation Move-enabled game allows players access to 40 tracks by various artists. It supports a dance creator mode, which allows would-be choreographers to arrange their own dance moves. Dancers with fitness goals can use the workout mode to shed a few pounds.

The DanceStar Party demonstration concluded with a live performance by what looked to be a professional dancing troupe. The leader held two PlayStation Move controllers while those around him danced to what sounded like the soundtrack to the film Saw mixed with dubstep. It was a unique.
