Assassin's Creed And More Coming To PS Vita

by Jeff Marchiafava on Aug 16, 2011 at 08:07 AM

While drumming up interest for the PS Vita at its Gamescom press conference, Sony announced that Ubisoft is working on a portable Assassin's Creed for 2012, complete with a new story.

The mysterious new Assassin's Creed title was not named or shown, but Sony Europe's new CEO Jim Ryan stated that it is one of six games that Ubisoft is currently developing for the PS Vita. This was accompanied by the splash screen of other third-party support shown above, which includes high profile franchises like BioShock and Call Of Duty, the FIFA and Virtua Tennis sports franchises, and the colorful platformer, Rayman Origins. Again, no gameplay was shown from any of these games, but given the graphic quality of the demos we've seen so far, it looks like the hardcore crowd will have plenty of reasons to check out Sony's new handheld.
