Fan site Shinesparkers has collaborated with a wide variety of musicians to create a free tribute album interpreting songs from throughout the entire series.
Harmony of a Hunter was made available for download in early August to time up almost exactly with the 25th anniversary of the release of the first game in Japan in 1986. I've been listening to a few tracks and it already ranges from piano pieces to metal to techno -- one song even includes a full choir arrangement.
