Update: Final Fantasy Tactics Coming To iOS Today
Update: When Square Enix says it will release a game in three days, it doesn't lie. As announced on Monday, Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions on iOS is available now.

Square Enix has gotten its classic strategy/RPG through Apple's approval process at last. You can download it to your iPhone on Thursday for $15.99. The iPad version remains a month or so behind, unfortunately.
If you're behind in iPhone world, though, you're out of luck. Final Fantasy Tactics runs on iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4, not the slower early models. Unsurprising, since the iPhone 3G can barely run iOS itself these days.
The iPhone version doesn't have the multiplayer modes from the excellent PSP remake, but there's plenty of game there regardless.
