Rumor: Capcom To Unleash Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 At Comic-Con
Marvel vs. Capcom 3 producer Ryota Niitsuma will be hosting a panel at next week's Comic-Con in San Diego, and he's promised a special announcement. Early rumor is that it's the debut of Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, a title – like Super Street Fighter IV before it – that introduces new characters at a budget price.
Comic Blog The Quarter Bin is reporting that it's heard that Niitsuma's announcement is Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 – a title that will retail for less than the MVC 3's $60 price tag (Super Street Fighter IV was $39.99) and feature a dozen new fighters. The blog goes on to speculate that Dr. Doom and Frank West will likely be among the new combatants because both were hidden files on the original game. Perhaps Phoenix Wright will also make the cut.
Capcom and Niitsuma's panel will occur Saturday, July 23rd at Comic-Con, so stay tuned for news if there is any.
