Monkey Island Retail Option May Be Coming

The special edition retail package is confirmed for Europe. Will North America be left out of the loop?

GamePro has the word directly from LucasArts. The company's plan to release the two Monkey Island Special Edition games as one retail pack will, for now, only come to European shores. The game collection will release there in September, and include a number of fun extras for fans.

LucasArts claims that it will gauge reaction to the release to determine whether or not to do a similar package here in the States.

Don't get too sad. If you're really itching to play the two games, it's pretty darn easy to download them here and here. They're both hilarious and represent some of the best adventure gaming you can find.
