In a brief statement, peripheral maker Mad Catz has announced its entrance into making games with a deal with Microsoft.

Mad Catz has received a licensing deal with Microsoft to make games for the Xbox 360, although no specific projects or plans have been outlined.

"The execution of the Xbox 360 Publisher License Agreement marks an important milestone as we pursue our longer term goal of expanding our participation in developing, publishing and distributing games." said Darren Richardson, the president and CEO of Mad Catz Interactive, Inc.

Could Mad Catz be looking into XBLA offerings, or will it make full-on, $60 games? Notice how Richardson mentions the company's full plans to go into publishing and distributing as well.
