Today is the exact date that Sonic the Hedgehog was released for the Sega Genesis 20 years ago. Sega's upcoming love letter, Sonic Generations, isn't the only way the company is celebrating the hedgehog's 20th anniversary. Only 100 of these very limited, very high quality statues are being sent across the world. Game Informer was lucky enough to be on the receiving list. Check out the process of removing this slick collector's item from the packaging.
