Nintendo Registers Plethora Of Wii U Domains

There are plenty of people who laughed at the tacked on nature of the Wii U name, and now Nintendo is adding the letter "U" onto all sorts of properties in a landslide of domain registrations.

Companies often do this to cover all the bases, and it doesn't necessarily mean that all of these games, peripherals, and services will come to pass.

At E3, Nintendo debuted the Wii U with lots of tech demos and promises, but didn't officially announce a whole lot first-party software wise other than saying that there was going to be a Super Smash Bros. title for the system. The company also handed out assets for an as-yet-untitled game that's colloquially being called New Super Mario Bros. Mii.
