A New Faction Joins Assassin's Creed Revelations
Constantinople looks like a cool new location for Ezio's adventures, but one aspect of the usual experience isn't making a return: Courtesans. Instead, a new faction will be taking their place.
It turns out that the...delicate...service the Courtesans perform wasn't really acceptable in Constantinople during this time period. As a result, the team at Ubisoft Montreal is implementing the Romani -- gypsy performers that serve a similar function. According to the Ubisoft representative giving me a demo, the Romani can also distract and act as mobile cover, but without the added ethical baggage.
Though they don't have the telltale icon above their heads, the Romani are briefly visible in the game's E3 demo, dancing and playing instruments. The thieves and mercenaries are likely to return as the other two factions, but with modified features that make them more useful in different ways.
