The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Comes To 3DS

At this year’s E3 Nintendo press conference, gaming legend Shigeru Miyamoto got onstage and had an orchestra play music and sound effects from the Zelda franchise and then talked about Nintendo’s lineup of games surrounding Zelda’s 25th Anniversary.

In honor of Zelda’s 25th anniversary Nintendo has released The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening on its new 3DS handheld. Better still, eager Zelda fans will be able to go out and buy this classic Game Boy title right now. Of course, next week The Legend Zelda: Ocarina of Time will also be released for the system, but the biggest news surrounding Zelda’s anniversary was Nintendo’s announcement that the GameCube/GBA title The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords would be available later this summer as a free download for 3DS.

Nintendo will also be offering a special gold Wii remote along with the release of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword when it releases this holiday.
