Rabbids Invade Your Living Room With Kinect

by Annette Gonzalez on Jun 06, 2011 at 12:40 PM

At the Ubisoft press conference in Los Angeles this afternoon, the publisher announced a new Rabbids game for Kinect. Designer Antoine Henry gave a quick stage demo of Raving Rabbids: Alive & Kicking.

Similar to its predecessors, it appears the latest entry in the Rabbids series will feature a series of minigames. In the stage demo, two players engaged in a whack-a-mole style game. Using augmented reality, Kinect overlaid a series of Rabbids on the stage floor and the two players had to stomp on them. In another minigame featuring four people, the players had to work cooperatively to use their bodies to create shapes shown on screen. One shape was a space ship, another was a silhouette of dracula. As you can imagine, the team had to get in strange positions to meet the shape requirements. At the end of each attempt, photos are snapped and added to a gallery you can share with friends on Facebook.

Raving Rabbids: Alive & Kicking will hit Xbox 360 in November.
