Robot Entertainment has unveiled some new baddies for its action/strategy game releasing later this summer.
Robot Entertainment is a relatively new studio founded in 2009, primarily by a development crew that migrated over from the now defunct Ensemble Studios (Halo Wars, Age of Empires). Orcs Must Die! is Robot's new title, a game in which players much defend their fortresses from an oncoming horde of, you guessed it, orcs!
The newest trailer for the game makes it clear that there will be some other fantasy monsters joining the ranks. "Sporting razor-sharp teeth, a fast loping gait, and powerful claws, Gnoll Hunters don't share the orc mob's singular focus on getting to the rift. These deadly beasts are only interested in one thing - killing the War Mage and his allies! When you hear their chilling howl, watch your back and ready your spells. These terrifying foes will vault over barricades and speed past traps, and when they snare you with their magical swords, you're in for the fight of your life," reads a recent press release from Robot.
The developers have yet to reveal details regarding which consoles the game will release on, but the game is set to come out for download sometime this summer on "personal computers and consoles". Robot will be showing more of the game at this year's E3.
