Tekken Comes To Life In Film Trailer
My knowledge of Tekken is limited. I'm aware that it's similar to other fighting games in that it contains a cast of colorful characters exchanging blows in a variety of crazy settings. This trailer for the upcoming live action film based on the game franchise contains all those elements, and appears to be pretty faithful to the fighter's core themes, but I'll let the fans be the final judge of that.
The story follows Jin Kazama as he seeks revenge on the Tekken corporation for killing his mother. Naturally, he must compete in the King of the Iron Fist tournament and place many attacks and kicks on many people. The film makers did a good job of not making infamous bad guy Heihachi look like too much of a ridiculous caricature, so that's a bonus. The film arrives on Blu-Ray and DVD on July 19.
