Sony’s PSN Firmware Update Makes Its Way To PSP
Following the PlayStation 3 firmware updates that Sony has been rolling out these last couple weeks, Sony has finally started to update its PSP firmware.
Sony just released firmware update 6.39 for PSP systems. This update guides users through the process of changing their PSN password, and according to the PlayStation Blog, "system software stability during use of some features will be improved."
One of Sony’s other blog entries also noted that Sony’s PSN network is down today as it goes through routine maintenance. Gamers hoping to jump online and change their password should be aware that PSN users will not be able to access the account management settings until approximately 5:00 pm PST. Sony has noted that players will be able to play online as well as sign in to external sites that require PSN authentication. Don’t freak out; everything is under control.
