Vote Now For Team Fortress 2's Saxxy Awards
May's Replay update for Team Fortress 2 didn't just introduce a bunch of cool video editing tools to Valve's generously-supported online shooter. It also invited players to participate in a user video competition the company dubbed The Saxxy Awards. The deadline for submitting videos has passed, and now's your chance to vote on your favorite clips.
Valve's Team Fortress blog details the next step in the awards, which will involve players voting in 20 different categories, including Funniest Replay, Most Epic Fail, and Best Original Soundtrack. You can begin voting by going here, though you'll need to have Team Fortress 2 registered on your Steam account to watch the videos.
The new video editing tools look like a great addition to the game -- I wish more developers would add these kinds of options to their competitive online games (I'm looking at you, DICE). I also wish I had a computer capable of running Team Fortress 2, or that Valve would maybe update the friggin' Xbox 360 version of the game one of these days...
