Report: PlayStation Store To Go Online May 24

by Matt Helgeson on May 19, 2011 at 10:10 AM

According to a leaked memo sent to developers, Sony plans to restore the PlayStation Store service by the end of the month.

A report on Gamasutra details the contents of the memo, which was sent to developers and publishers. The memo also details that Sony will do two "pushes" of content per week, in order to catch up on a backlog of games that were intended to be released while PSN was down following an attack by hackers.

The first push on the relaunch day will distribute content originally slated to be available on April 26. The next push, three days after launch, will publish content that had been scheduled for May 3, and so on.

Sony has also said that the company might make adjustments "on a case by case basis," like DLC packs for retails games that are already available on Xbox 360.
