Saints Row: The Third's Characters Will Get Around

by Jeff Cork on May 06, 2011 at 03:43 AM

Character customization can be a blessing and a curse. On one hand, spending time tweaking sliders and clicking through options to replicate the guys from NARC or create the perfect Bob Ross clone can be satisfying. On the other, it's been a bit of a hassle to share your work with other people. Fans of wrestling games have traded formulas for custom characters since the N64 days, but entering dozens of options is time consuming. With Saints Row: The Third, THQ and Volition have come up with a solution that could make the process significantly easier for everyone.

The Initiation Station is a free service that spans the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC versions of the game. Players will be able to share their creations from the game to a special community site, allowing folks to browse and download their results. The initiation Station will be released in advance of the game's holiday release for players who preorder Red Faction: Armageddon.
