There are few certainties in modern life. Death, taxes...and the fact that a rerun of some Law & Order show is always being shown on cable at any given time. Telltale Games has already tackled CSI, and now its turning its gaze to the other ubiquitous television police procedural.

Now, a hardcore "ripped from the headlines" guy like myself would complain that this game is based on the newest series in the franchise, Law & Order: Los Angeles, and not the all-time champ, Law & Order: SVU. However, it's pretty clear that modern technology is not capable of duplicating Christopher Meloni's "I got KIDS, MAAAN" glare, so I'll have to content myself with digital recreations of L&O: L.A. stars Alfred Molina and Terrence Howard.

The game itself will focus on the show's interrogation and investigative approach, culminating each case with a "heavy dose of courtroom drama." Telltale says the gameplay will "continue to advance [our] unique approach to cinematic presentation and storytelling as well as dialog and character interactions."

Telltale has launched an official site for the game where you can sign up to receive breaking news and updates on Law & Order: Los Angeles. The game is scheduled to release this year for "PC, Mac, console, mobile, and tablets"... so everything, essentially.
