april fools

Blizzard must REALLY like April Fools' Day. Its latest antic is a fake Horadric Cube iPhone app.

Mike Morhaime must have accidentally cast an obfuscate spell instead of the intended level 20 joke spell, because this one is out of left field. Here's the pitch:

"You know Clarke's third law: any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic. It is only logical, then, that sufficiently advanced magic would be indistinguishable from technology. For proof, look no further than the new Horadric Cube app for your smartphone or tablet device."

The Horadric Cube app gives users the phony ability to effortlessly transmute any two apps of their choosing. FaceVille, Ninja Birds, TweetFlix – you get the gist.
