If you've ever felt underwhelmed by Nintendo's WiiWare service, don't worry: You're not alone. Indie developer Phil Fish, creator of the upcoming downloadable title Fez, didn't hold back in his explanation for why his title won't be appearing on the Wii.

Speaking to Destructoid, Fish said that Fez will appear on Xbox Live Arcade first and may come to PlayStation Network and PC download services in the future. Why no WiiWare? In Fish's words:

"...in my opinion, WiiWare just wouldn't be worth our time and effort. It's a dismal system that I don't want to deal with neither as a customer, nor a developer. No demos? F**k off."

Over on Fish's Twitter account, he jokingly recalled another current indie developer's controversial statements about the Wii from a few years back:

"WIIWARE IS LIKE TWO GAMECUBES DUCT-TAPED TOGETHER"

On the other hand, Fish did suggest that he's not opposed to working on a 3DS project, so perhaps Nintendo could work something out with him eventually.
