Square Enix Starts Mobile Game Studio
Square Enix has released some of the early Final Fantasy games on mobile platforms thanks to partnerships with other companies like Namco, but now the iconic developer is getting into the business for itself.
Square Enix has opened a new studio in Japan called Hippos Lab, which will exclusively develop games for smartphones. Square Enix hasn't said whether the games will be original IP or ports of existing games, but did say Hippos Lab will be releasing its first game soon.
Whatever the games may be, we're looking forward to seeing what the new company comes up with.
