Harrison Ford Helps Make Eco-friendly Facebook Game

by Ben Reeves on Mar 07, 2011 at 12:15 PM

Facebook games aren’t going away – as much as we’d like to stop getting their daily invites. Now it seems that celebrities are jumping onboard. Harrison Ford has just teamed up with Conservation International and a new L.A.-based studio called Talkie to produce an upcoming Facebook game entitled Ecotopia.

Ecotopia is a free-to-play city-building game that promotes green living. The game will incorporate cinematic storytelling moments and force players to make real-world choices that improve the world around them in order to advance in the game.

"I'm excited to be involved with Ecotopia,” Ford told the Hollywood Reporter, “because I see it as a great way to engage millions of people in our fight to protect our planet by taking action online and in our daily lives.”

We don’t know if we’ll spend more than 30 second with this title, but anyone who was both Han Solo and Indiana Jones can do no wrong in our book. The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull never happened.
