Orcs Must Die!
It's a good sentiment to live by, but it's also the name of a new downloadable game from Robot Entertainment.
You could be forgiven if you've never heard of Robot. The team is largely formed from team members who worked over at now-defunct Ensemble Studios on games like Age of Empires and Halo Wars.
The new studio is now working on what looks to be a fun variation on the tower defense formula, with quite a bit of action thrown into the mix. Orcs Must Die! sets players with the goal of defending a fortress from oncoming waves of ravaging orcs. To do so, you'll have access to all sorts of deadly traps, spells, and weapons, and you'll wander the fortress setting up defenses on the fly, even as the bad guys charge headlong into the grinder.
Check out the first trailer for the game below. Orcs Must Die! should be releasing on PC and unannounced downloadable console services later this year.
