Cave Story 3DS Coming In Launch Window
A newly announced 3D overhaul of the fantastic action/platformer is coming to Nintendo's new handheld in the weeks after its release.
If you haven't played Cave Story, you're missing out. Originally released as a PC freeware game, Cave Story was recently remade with updated graphics and released for WiiWare. You can read our full review of the game right here. Apparently that wasn't enough for developer Nicalis, as the team has partnered with NIS America for a retail release of yet another retooling of the game, this time on Nintendo's 3DS.
The new game, which should release in the launch window of the 3DS, maintains the 2D exploration-fueled gameplay of the original, but overhauls all the graphics to be modeled and textured in 3D.
